Diana Wehrly, CFA, has three decades of experience in fixed income trading, securities analysis and portfolio management. After moving to Hawaii from New York City in 1999, she was a lecturer at the Shidler College of Business Administration at the University of Hawaii where she developed well-received courses in both securities analysis and portfolio management for undergraduate and graduate level (MBA) students. She also taught professional certification courses for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations. In addition to teaching, she remained active in the industry with positions in the investment departments at First Hawaiian Bank (Bishop Street Capital) and East West Wealth Management.

Ms. Wehrly started her career in New York City on the fixed income trading floor at Lehman Brothers. Subsequently she joined Kidder Peabody as an equity analyst and later moved to Smith Barney. She also founded FWA, Inc., a consultancy that provided advisory services and analytical support primarily to financial services companies. One of her clients later hired her in an executive position to manage all aspects of the planned initial public offering of the company’s stock.

Ms. Wehrly earned her BS in engineering from Northwestern University and her MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her CFA Designation in 1990. She is a founding member and past president of CFA Hawaii.

Diana is active on several local nonprofit boards. She is a long-time board member and former officer of Honolulu Theater for Youth, and until recently was active on the Board of the Parent Faculty Association of Le Jardin Academy. She is also a past officer and is very active in the Chaine des Rotissuers, a worldwide food and wine group.
